The concert in Ahrenshoop took place outdoors behind the beach hall.
Choir Workshop - Music, Beach & Sea - the MDR Children's Choir on summer tour on the Baltic Sea
For a long time, singing in a choir was forbidden or strictly regulated. Finally, after a year and a half, the MDR Children's Choir was allowed to work and perform together again on a rehearsal retreat. The choir was able to showcase the first results of their efforts in a spontaneously put-together program at the Ahrenshoop open-air stage (Strandhalle). Amidst studios and ceramic workshops, atmospheric music filled the air, shifting between moments of devotion and reflection. The songs explored themes of nature, including forests and the sea, the stars, faith, and, of course, love.
